Holly has now revealed that two of her three children have been stricken with illness and required to be tested for Covid-19 after showing symptoms

Speaking about fear of her family’s health on social media, Holly said in a statement: “I just wanted to thank you for all your kind messages

“In the past few days, two of our children were sick with symptoms of COVID As per government guidelines, we were waiting for test results before we could return to work, in a relationship with just wanting to s ‘caring for two troubled children, that meant having two days away from This Morning

“See you Monday!” Holly finished, adding: “Thank you again for all the lovely messages”

The family were reportedly given the green light on Friday night, the newspaper reports, leaving Holly free to return to work next week

It comes after viewers were surprised to see a last minute change in This Morning lineup this week

Alison Hammond appeared in the studio with Phil on Wednesday, leaving viewers to guess what happened to Holly, whose absence was not mentioned

On Friday, husband-and-wife duo Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford presented the award-winning show as usual

It comes after Holly and her family were forced off their vacation in Portugal earlier this year in order to isolate themselves so that she could be back ready to host the ITV show in September.

The family had planned to spend seven weeks in the luxurious Quinta do Lago resort, which offers private villas with swimming pools for a relaxing break in the sun

However, they were forced to cut summer vacation by two weeks when travel restrictions changed at the last minute

Over the summer, it was also reported that Holly had left her agency YMU Entertainment to start her own women-focused management company – Roxy Management

The Sun reported that Holly wanted to be able to take more control and improve her “work-life balance”

“In many ways it became the perfect opportunity to start from scratch and it was just time for a change
